The main aim of the book Reoperative Abdominal Surgery is to give detailed information on literature devoted to the postoperative considerations and clinical decisions required of the surgeon when rescuing deteriorating patients. Anatomic physiologies, indications for surgery, complications after surgery, reoperative procedure, intra-operative management, postoperative care along with technical advancements are discussed. It also emphases on the importance of involving patients their families, and the entire surgical team in the management process of abdominal surgery. Various problems or complications such as abdominal wall infection, intra-abdominal abscess, abdominal compartment syndrome, postoperative hemorrhage, groin hernia, chronic inflammatory bowel disease, Clostridium difficile colitis, biliary tract, etc are discussed in detail which requires reoperative interventions. This book cannot provide guidance on every possible reoperative problem associated with the abdomen that will ever be encountered.
